Saving your configuration before applying it is optional but highly recommended. By saving you're able to wait to apply the configuration which is useful if your computer or the MiVoice Business system or MiCollab server are not currently connected to the network.
This page is also used to skip MiCW-defined defaults for certain data—for example, feature access codes—in favor of data already programmed on the MiVoice Business system.
NOTES
Class of Service data is mandatory in this version of MiCW. In previous versions, you could skip the COS data and go with the defaults on MiVoice Business system instead.
Skipping Class of Restriction Options can affect the ARS programming in your configuration, in particular user access to trunk routes. The same applies to System Speed Calls which are used to provision Dynamic Extensions.
Configuration of the Gateway Trunks Assignment and Gateway Devices Assignment forms will not be saved when clicking Save As... from this page.
Saving the configuration:
Select MiVoice Business and/or MiCollab.
If you wish to use default system data:
Select Apply default system data for.
Select the data to include.
In the standard configuration, all system data is included.
If you do not wish to use default system data, select Don't Apply default system data.
Click Save As.
Navigate to the desired file location.
In the File
name box, type a file name with an .xml or .zip extension.
If the configuration includes any imported .CSV files, select zip from
the Files of type list. This
packages the main configuration (XML) file and .CSV file(s) into a
zip file which the wizard will unzip if you need to reload it later.
Click Save.
Implement the new configuration as described below, or click Finish.
To implement the new configuration:
Do the following depending on the licensing method you used:
If manually entering licenses or using existing ones, your PC must be physically connected to the MiVoice Business system and on the same subnet.
If using the Mitel AMC, ensure that your PC has Internet connectivity and can communicate with the controller. (The controller may have to be added to the network in advance of running the Configuration Wizard to accomplish this.)
Select whether to configure MiVoice Business, the Application Server, or both.
NOTE: Your PC must also be on the same subnet as the Application Server(s).
Click Next to continue.
NOTE: If you are installing in a network or cluster of elements, you must use Remote Directory Number Synchronization via SDS to distribute telephone directory entries among the elements.
Enter the FQDN or IP Address of the MiVoice Business system to which you want to connect (if configuring).
all other controllers - RTC IP address
Type the existing Login name and Password of the MiVoice Business and/or MiCollab system.
NOTES
The Login and Password fields are required to allow Flow Through Provisioning and the MiCollab Client Service application to connect to the MiVoice Business system.
The default MiCollab Login name is "admin".
It is recommended that you change your login and password by selecting New Login and typing a new password. For security, the Configuration Wizard will not save the info for future use.
Under Enter the Login Information of Server Manager, in the Password box, type the Server Manager login password.
Click Next (if required).
Click Configure.
